Pre/Fall 13

This collection features the stylistic trademarks of Albino: architectural precision, simple geometric shapes and unusual volumes. The starting point is the box-like contour inspired by the Courrges school of the 1960s, combined with decorative elements and a choice of colours that vaguely recall the Bauhaus.
The box-like construction is a characteristic of dresses both with predominantly straight lines and those having an hourglass silhouette that highlights the waist.  The dresses also combined different cloth fabrics of varying consistency, e.g. dresses in double crepe silk wool with parts in double duchesse, or duchesse combined with a wool interlock jersey. These rigid forms are offset by a silhouette that is again characterized by a box-like construction or by three-dimensional cuts, combined with more fluid fabrics and more oversized masculine-type volumes. In this case, the dresses become tunics combined with ample calf-length masculine trousers in drape silk wool or mohair wool or in soft cady silk or printed satin.
The very lively colour palette contains various shades of red, from scarlet to cerise, extending to magenta and purple. The colours go well with black and navy blue. A touch of pearly light pink and emerald green distinguish the colour combinations even more, especially those in soft jacquard check or maxi tweed.
